Subdivision Inspection Supervisor
The Role:
Our client within the local government sector, is seeking a Supervisor to efficiently lead, plan and receive civil assets delivered through developments and integrate into the operational and maintenance works schedules to enhance the quality of life and wellbeing of the community.
As a Subdivision Inspection Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Assist the Civil Infrastructure service unit by undertaking inspections of subdivision construction works and private development, ensuring compliance with City requirements and standards.
- Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, or significant experience in Civil Infrastructure Construction and Maintenance.
- Demonstrated knowledge in basic design and construction in subdivision development work, public sector infrastructure engineering, design/construction standards, specifications, and contract documentation/administration
- Liaise with Built and Natural Environment Division, i.e., planning and subdivision teams, when undertaking inspections and document noncompliance assets.
- Monitor works to verify construction activities are completed pursuant to Work Approvals, Permits and endorsed Engineering Plans.
- Promote compliance with WHS policies, procedures, and safe work practices within subdivision sites.
- Facilitate inspections in a timely manner, with sufficient information conveyed to ensure the City future assets are to relevant standards.
- Conduct inspections for works within a road reserve by third parties pursuant to issued Approvals or Permits (linked to essential services).
- Provide professional advice to the Civil Infrastructure Manager and the Civil Infrastructure Operations Coordinator
Criteria:
- Valid driver’s licence (C Class)
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, codes, standards, and guidelines associated with the position.
- Basic Worksite Traffic Management and Traffic Control Certificates.
- Demonstrated experience in the management of staff and contractor
- Construction Safety Induction Card (White Card)
- Previous Experience in similar roles (Desirable)
- Computer literacy (MS Office Suite)
- Current National Police Clearance
- Pass a Drug & Alcohol Screening
